The Creative Collective are a full service creative agency specialising in digital marketing, especially in social media. We also offer branding, graphic design & print, strategy, PR & marketing, SEO & PPC, videography & photography, website design & development, domains & hosting and much more!

Started in 2007 by Yvette Adams, today we operate from the fringes of the new Smart City in Maroochydore, Queensland, regularly servicing clients in Brisbane and the Gold Coast; and also have an office and team in Newcastle, who service Sydney. We also work with clients in many other locations across Australia online, have consultants in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide, Cairns, Melbourne and Perth; and have even had clients in locations such as Japan, Korea and Iceland.

Our success has been driven by multiple factors. We were one of the first full service agencies to market on the Sunshine Coast back in 2007, and in 2008 were one of the first to offer social media training and services.  We have capitalised on being based in regional and fast growing locations. In the time we have operated both locations have seen enormous population growth and the markets have matured, moving away from traditional industries they were previously reliant on. Increasingly so, businesses have also started to turn to digital marketing over traditional marketing, and we have been there to support them with that transition.

We have forged and maintained a unique position in the market given our close relationship with our sister company The Training Collective (100% privately owned by Yvette Adams) offering clients the choice to call on us for their services, engage in training, or both! Our designers and brand strategists have years or experiencing coming up with appropriate brand names, brand marks, slogans, and are big on providing our clients with a brand style guide on completion to ensure the brand can be consistently and professionally used thereafter.

Out of all of our services, social media is what we are most well known for, and for which we have the most demand.

With over ten years in offering social media services, The Creative Collective have devised numerous social media strategies, have assisted many clients to establish on social networks, will fix up social channels where required, have run tons of social media campaigns and have provided social media training to thousands of businesses through webinars, programs, workshops and in one-on-one consults.

For clients who are just getting started with social media marketing, we will generally start with a consult and the development of a social media strategy. On the other hand, for clients who are already started, but not sure where to turn next, we will generally start with a strategy and an audit, and make recommendations on what may need to be changed to improve things.

Most people start their search for a new product or service on a search engine, with a high percentage of people using Google. If you are not positioned on Google with SEO or PPC, you are missing out on a lot of business!

Search Engine Marketing (SEM) is the term given to the marketing strategies you can use to drive traffic from search engines (Google My Business, Google, Bing etc) to your website. When it comes to SEM, there are two main ways that you can get traffic to your site – Paid or Organic. Both involve working out what search terms your customers are searching, and then either implementing strategies on page and off page to appear organically on the search engines when users make those searches (a process called search engine optimisation which can take at least six months to produce results but which can be very powerful) or paying to feature on the search engines immediately (a process known as Pay Per Click or PPC).

Let’s face it. Stock photos are, well, stock photos. And home job photo and video shoots are, well, home jobs. If you want to take your marketing to the next level you should be using a high quality and professionally shot image or video. And in some cases you really don’t have a choice. For instance if you’re a beauty brand, you really can’t use someone else's product shots by way of stock imagery. If you’re a real estate agent, you need your own stock too. And if you’re wanting to capture an event?  Well people will know for sure if those shots aren’t from your event and it is all a little generic.

Established in 2004 in Western Australia, PGSR has since expanded Australia-wide, and provides skilled and affordable resources and support, from service to maintenance to 24/7 breakdown support for energy and industry.

In early 2020, we were approached by PGSR to help build the brand and communicate capabilities so that they could expand their client base in new verticals. 

We were engaged for a number of our services including: 

  • A new brand strategy and potential rename
  • A brand style guide
  • The development of key brand messaging
  • Website redevelopment, design and copywriting
  • Graphic design of the organisation’s capability statement

  • We were pleased to work with PGSR at the beginning of their digital transformation journey, including conducting a half day strategy session with key stakeholders and the management team to go through what they had in place, uncover what they are trying to achieve, what they need, and follow up with a 12 month marketing plan for implementation of their transformation. 

    After an initial briefing session with our graphic design team, we noticed that the current brand had little brand recognition and was tired and no longer represented the business. After significant research into the brandscape and conducting a subsequent brand strategy session with the management team, a two phased approach was developed for the rebrand. 

  • Phase 1: Same name, new look + feel with the addition of a meaningful tagline
  • Phase 2: Same look + feel as Phase 1, but the launch of a new name (Strategised by The Creative Collective) which would see a subtle link to the Japanese parent company. 
  • The client has received their desired logo for Phase 1 and were supplied with the final artwork in a variety of formats. We also produced a brand style guide to assist the client in maintaining consistency across their assets. This included correct logo use, font selection and colour use.
  • The client also met with our web design and copywriting team who were able to create an informative, user friendly and extremely visually pleasing website that should bring lots of awareness and brand interest moving forward. We also undertook an SEO setup, including submitting the sitemap to Google, conducting keyword research and optimising pages through SEO plugins.

    Our work for PGSR has also included the roll out of assorted flyers, business cards and letterheads that include the new branding and logo.

    We continue to regularly meet with members of the PGSR team to provide updates and confirm our strategic intent at each stage of the project. We are thrilled to have built such a great relationship with the PGSR team.



    Hume Coal (owned by Korean company POSCO) is located in the Southern Highlands of NSW. Hume Coal (HC) plan to build and operate an underground coal mine in and around Berrima.

    Upon lodging plans in early 2015, the HC project gained a lot of media attention around community concern from an environmental, social and economic perspective. Action and protest groups such as "Battle for Berrima" had a large social presence and were actively combating HC plans and spreading negativity over the project.

    Hume Coal had an outdated website, no social media presence or strategy in place to be able to reach the community and their target market in order to combat the negativity.

    Hume Coal therefore approached The Creative Collective (TCC) to discuss website development and more specifically, the potential partnership with an agency that could provide:

    1.strategy, support and guidance around social media

    2. digital services including paid advertising on social media

    3. execution and management of the whole project.

    We worked with Hume Coal extensively on their marketing over a two year period including the development of a new website, the development of their social media strategy, set up of social media channels, ongoing social media management and some social media advertising.



    Newcrest Mining is the largest gold producer listed on the Australian Securities Exchange and one of the world’s largest gold mining companies. We were pleased to work with them on a Program Brochure, Species Guide and Yearly Weed Calendar as part of their community engagement efforts.



    Eniquest is one of Australia's leading specialists in remote power and independent energy solutions. They have been successfully providing innovative engineered power solutions for industries such as the Australian Mining Industry, Australia Defence force, Telecommunications, Commercial Supplies and Off-Grid Homeowners for many years. The company approached us in January 2016 having recently completed a website overhaul with another company on the Adobe Business Catalyst platform, looking to improve their website rankings and subsequently achieve more website traffic and therefore enquiry.

    Over a period of 11 months working on the company's SEO, we took them from ranking for very little on Google to ranking for multiple relevant key phrases on page 1 of Google.

    Key achievements & activities included:

  • Organic Traffic Improvement: From 1630 to 2,026 (20% improvement)
  • New Visitors: 1325 to 1,590 (17% improvement)
  • Returning Visitors: 305 to 1,590 (421% improvement)
  • Applied Google Webmaster Tools onto the site

  • Optimised x50 pages
  • Went from having rankings for only 9 irrelevant keywords to having rankings for 52 relevant keywords.

    All-Ways Rigging Gear, established in the Illawarra since 1990, is a privately owned company whose goal has been to develop into a single source for the manufacture, supply, service and inspection in Lifting Equipment, Height Safety and Materials Handling.

    All-ways Rigging Gear have been a long-term client, having engaged The Creative Collective since 2011. 

    As a trusted marketing arm of the industrial equipment supplier, TCC’s team have managed Google Ads and Search Engine Optimisation for this client over the years and continued to grow online traffic year on year. In addition, we have also developed two complex websites in this time, that serve clients as an online catalogue and providing detailed specifications on equipment. 

    The most recent website overhaul project, completed in 2017 has led to a staggering increase of 420% in online enquiries and more accurate reporting. 



    EngAnalysis aims to provide data driven engineering solutions for real-time industrial and structural health monitoring. They believe in solid evidence that comes from comprehensive testing and measurements. As a result, their range of services offer significant depth and range of experience and capability.

    In early 2020 we were engaged by EngAnalysis for a strategy session that resulted in the research and compilation of a 12 month marketing plan. After discussing this plan with the client, we were engaged for a multi-phase marketing plan including:

    Denton Engineering & Hydraulics is a general engineering company servicing the mining, defence, industrial, agriculture, material handling and transport industry sectors.

    We were pleased to work with them on this website for this engineering company.


    Website design and development has been a major major part of our business since our beginning in 2007. 

    Over the years we have produced hundreds of websites for our clients, from landing pages to simple one page multi-section website designs, to far more elaborate and complex travel websites, membership and ecommerce systems.

    We always begin our projects by taking a thorough brief, where we will take the time to get to know you, your objectives, target market, competitive landscape and desired outcomes for the project. This session will allow us to hit the ground running and will provide you with a clean checklist of everything you will need to have organised so that everything can run as efficiently and effectively.

    We will go through your original brief and gain a deeper level of understanding of what you want your website to look like and do, exactly what pages it will have and the site map they will fall under including any menus and sub menus, what exact elements of competitor sites or themes we show you that you like and don't like so we can get a feel for your design tastes, and what you want to rank for on the search engines (we can also conduct keyword research and give you these insights).

    We will discuss the functionality of the site in detail including what forms you may require, the data you will need to record and where this data will need to be stored, who it will need to notify, or any automations it may set off.

    We will explore and document the exact features of any items such as blogs, events calendars or interactive maps you may require - there are many options here - so it is important we take the time to go through everything in detail.

    We will also draw up wireframes on a whiteboard for key pages (what items will go on key pages), providing our expertise in best practice in web design and current trends and considerations.

    We will discuss your security and maintenance plans + hosting & domain selection and provide you assistance where required on any fronts.

    Post the meeting, we will then type up a full debrief, and provide it to you to review and approve, as this will be the basis from which we will work on once we commence later phases.

    We will establish a dedicated project in our online Project Management system and invite all stakeholders. People can be observers or contributors to projects. We will establish and assign tasks and milestones which can be viewed at any time. All time is tracked in this system also.

    With careful planning in this Phase of the development, we ensure solid foundations are set for a successful project. Throughout the project we communicate regularly, debriefing on all meetings.


    Our inhouse UX/UI design team are experts at preparing mock ups on either Adobe Photoshop or industry program Figma of the key pages of your website, a draft of exactly what we are proposing your website will look like, based on the brief we have taken from you before we get building.

    This is your chance to ensure our interpretation of what you require in terms of the look & feel from the briefing session, is the same as you are seeking for the website, before we get too far into the project.  At this stage we can involve stakeholders if needed, to also ensure a consultative and collaborative approach on the design aspects of the development.

    Our design team adjust their design styles to suit clients brand style guides and vision for any given project and have extensive experience working across a wide range of sectors.


    Feedback and testing is essential for any web project, and we use a range of mechanisms to ensure this is performed thoroughly and swiftly.

    In-house we will test browser compatibility (the ability for the website to display correctly on the most popular browsers such as Chrome, Internet Explorer Firefox and Safari), it's search functionality, forms, mobile responsiveness and action any final edits.

    Once we are confident we have addressed all noticeable issues, we will invite you and / or your user groups for testing, using industry software Bugherd.

    Bugherd allows our clients to review a non live website and add 'digital sticky notes' to any areas of concern meaning feedback is not lost in translation and that we can turn this feedback into clear, actionable tasks.


    In partnership with our sister company The Training Collective, we have extensive capabilities in developing and delivering both online and in person custom training on a wide variety of topics including SEO, website management and more.

    Once your new website is complete, or if you would like to make the final modifications to content yourself before going live, we can arrange the training, or we can complete all tasks and deliver the training as part of a handover process.

    We always aim to make our websites as user friendly as possible, including dynamic content blocks which ensure you can update something once and have it update throughout the site.

    We have provisioned for the development of a custom CMS manual which will contain screenshots and step by step instructions. We will also provide training videos as part of our handover.


    Our team ensure that core tracking software is installed on every website we work on such as Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools/Search Console + Facebook tracking pixel codes (if relevant) We'll also schedule monthly reports so you can track how your new website is performing.

    Our website maintenance and support services can be purchased on a per hour basis, or prepaid block of hours, discounted depending on the number of hours purchased. 


    • All work is billed in minimum 15 minute increments

    • Purchased hours expire within 12 months.
